Overview

Swivel can optionally Mark as Deleted a user instead of deleting them. This can help where a user is incorrectly removed from the repository, such as AD. If the user is added back to the repository and the Undelete used, then they may be reinstated with the same PIN. Using the Purge function, removes the user. See also Delete a Swivel user.

A Marked as deleted user consumes a Swivel license.

HelpDesk and Administrator Purge differences

HelpDesk and Administrators can purge individual users by selecting the user and clicking on Purge. Administrators may also have the option to purge all users within a repository from the Purge button in the User Administration above the list of users.

Purging users

From the Swivel Administration User Administration console or Status page, select the view to see deleted users. Select the repository of users, then click on an individual user to purge the user.

Administrators have the option to purge all Marked as deleted users in a repository.
