PINsafe PositiveID Server Patch
Overview
This Patch covers some bugs present in some versions of PINsafe with relation PositiveID
Prerequisites
PINsafe 3.7.3474
Installation
1. Stop Tomcat
2. Extract the contents of the file pinsafe.positiveid.patch and copy the folder WEB-INF to <path to Tomcat>/webapps/pinsafe overwriting any files where required. For further information on copying files see Copying appliance files How to Guide. Ensure file permissions are correct, see Permissions and Ownership
3. Edit the file <path to Tomcat>/webapps/pinsafe/WEB-INF/languages/console.en.xml and insert the contents of the file language.xml, (either immediately after <Phrases>, or just before </Phrases>).
4. For PINsafe appliances, copy the file proxy.war to <path to Tomcat>/webapps2 overwriting the current proxy file.
3. Start Tomcat
Verification
Follow the instructions for configuring PositiveID, see PositiveID How to Guide. On the PINsafe administration console, select User Administration, then left click on a user and ensure the PID button is visible (either greyed out or selectable). If it is not then the patch may not have installed correctly. Try a User Sync.
