Overview

Setting the Network Interface Card (NIC) speeds. It has been reported that the appliance when used with certain switches, particularly CISCO, will not always successfully automatically negotiate correct speeds. For network Interface information see Network Interface


Prerequisites

PINsafe appliance


Symptoms

Appliance responding in sporadic and unreliable state. Packet loss, and or inability to connect to the appliance.


Solution

Login as admin either on the console or SSH and select:

 "Advanced Options"
 "Networking"
 "NIC Speeds"

Select the Interface to change.

Change the Interface, and fix the speed and duplex settings to the correct value for the switch.

Supported Options:

 1. Autoneg on
 2. 10 Duplex Half Speed
 3. 10 Duplex Full Speed
 4. 100 Duplex Half Speed
 5. 100 Duplex Full Speed
