The minimum requirements for a Virtual Machine Host server, this applies to Swivel 2.0.x, 2.x, 3.x or v4.x appliances.

Typical Swivel Appliance Specification would be:

  • 2GB RAM
  • 1 Dual/Quad core CPU
  • 80GB HDD
  • VMware ESX/ESXi 4 or above
  • Hyper-V 2008 R2, 2012 R2 or above
  • Citrix Xen Server 6.2 (Swivel Appliance v2.1, v3, or above)
  • 1 X nic (single) or 2 X nic (HA)

Thin Mode Deployment

VMware allows Swivel servers to deploy with a minimal 10Gb config and then expand. This is useful for testing and small deployments.
